About
I have been helping clients tell their stories for over two decades.
I am here to help you tell yours.
I’ve been living my dream of designing jewellery for over twenty years. I believe the jewellery you choose to wear should be personal and have a story. For this reason, my custom jewellery designs are always created in a collaborative process with my clients. You will be working directly with me: no middlemen, no junior craftsmen.
This way, I can always guarantee the quality of the work and you can rely on my honesty and trust in pricing and in the design process. I want to learn all of my clients’ unique stories, what inspires them, and what they love so much that they want to symbolise in a piece of jewellery that will be worn and treasured every day.
Together, we will create a jewellery piece that is as unique as you are.
Career highlight?
In 2012, I designed and handcrafted my most important jewel: my wife Renée's engagement ring.
I sourced an amazing yellow diamond from an ethical supplier in South Africa, and inset the band with forty eight smaller white diamonds sourced from a different supplier in the U.S. I crafted the band in white gold, and the claw setting for the large yellow diamond was particularly intricate. I took great pleasure in seeing the final perfect ring for my wife.
My heart and soul went into that ring. Although the ring is understated and simple it contains many design decisions and details, and careful crafting of the metal and gems by my own hands. It felt so special to create something that my wife will wear for the rest of her life, and that will be passed along to our daughters whether in it's current form or a restoration.

An international craftsman and teacher
SYDNEY • NEW YORK • VANCOUVER • NEWCASTLE
Gavin Fisher began his jewellery career in Sydney in 1996 working as an apprentice under the guidance of renowned Australian jeweller Russell McColough. Throughout his tenure Gavin learned all aspects of the jewellery trade including traditional and modern manufacturing techniques and gemstone appreciation. It was here that he refined his style of classic jewellery with a modern twist.
In his mid-twenties, Gavin set out for Canada and worked in Vancouver, then travelling to the United States working in New York. Gavin’s career highlight was being selected as the Master Jeweller for the prestigious Greenwich Street Jewelers located in downtown Manhattan, New York City. He had the pleasure of meeting directly with clients to help them design customised jewellery and then make the pieces. During his time in New York Gavin was also asked to teach his master skills at several private jewellery schools, which he found deeply rewarding.
Returning to Sydney in 2014, Gavin quickly reestablished his name setting up his private studio to service his clients with personalised jewellery creation.
In 2024, Gavin has grown from strength to strength opening up a second location in the prestigious, The Junction in Newcastle NSW. This space has an offering of ready to wear pieces in a beautiful space, but also an opportunity to service the greater hunter region.
Over 20 years of experience has made Gavin an expert craftsman in creating custom bespoke jewellery, restoring heirlooms, setting gemstones, and remodeling worn or damaged jewellery.
